Resolution 2006-08-15.bg.1: Accepting freedesktop.org as Associated Project
This resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of SPI at their meeting of August 15, 2006.
This resolution is superseded by 2019-05-02.jrk.1.
WHEREAS
Freedesktop.org is a substantial and significant Free Software project, that also offers services to a number of other substantial and significant Free Software projects, including X.org and Mesa.
The Freedesktop.org developers would like SPI to take donations for purposes related to Freedesktop.org activities.
THE SPI BOARD RESOLVES THAT
Freedesktop.org is formally invited to become an SPI Associated Project, according to the SPI Framework for Associated Projects, SPI Resolution 1998-11-16.iwj.1-amended-2004-08-10.iwj.1, a copy of which can be found at https://www.spi-inc.org/corporate/resolutions/2004/2004-08-10.iwj.1
Keith Packard is recognised by SPI as the current authoritative decisionmaker in the Freedesktop.org project.
This invitation will lapse, if not accepted, 60 days after it is approved by the SPI Board.
