Resolution 2007-11-14.nm.1: EU-wide Debian trademark

This resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of SPI at their meeting of November 14, 2007.

Whereas

1. The Debian mark is an important piece of intellectual property;

2. The Debian project wishes to protect the mark;

3. The DPL has authorised expenditure for registering the Debian mark throughout the EU;

The SPI board resolves that

1. Neil McGovern may proceed with registering the mark 'Debian' though a trademark solicitor with the Community Trade Mark system.
